New in Humaans: Timesheets

Tommy Kwan
Software Engineer at Humaans

Today we're excited to release Humaans Timesheets. Whether you are tracking the hours employees work due to government regulations, analytics, or other reason, having this ability built into your HRIS system will help centralise all your data.
Time and attendance tracking is a requirement in a number of European countries. Our goal with this latest product update is to help companies make this process quick and simple for their staff while ensure compliance.
Let's see how timesheets work in Humaans
Everybody's working life is different: some have a weekly schedule and some work more flexible hours, some work full time hours and some work part time. This is why we designed our time and attendance tracking feature to suit all styles of work. Right from the start, you can see this from the number of different ways there are to record your hours.

For people who have a fixed working schedule, we built a workflow that allows you to input your schedule and allow us to figure out and fill in a whole month's timesheet for you. Don't worry though, we also take into account any public holidays or time off on your calendar to make sure it is as accurate as possible.

Prefer to track your time on a daily basis? We have you covered as well with our Clock in / Clock out feature. It's as it says on the box, you can clock in when you start a shift or work day, and when you're done you simply clock out. Since this workflow requires you to interact with the platform multiple times during the day, we've made it easily accessible from anywhere in the platform through our Jump Menu (CMD+K).

Review
Reviewing timesheets is a vital part of any time tracking system, but could also be a very time consuming process. When a manager has multiple reports, it means that they will have just as many timesheets to review each month. To help make this more efficient, we've tried to show as much relevant information as possible when a timesheet is being reviewed. This means showing public holidays and time off from their reports' calendars, a visual representation of the recorded hours to easily identify anomalies, and also summarising the total time on both a day and monthly basis.

Exporting data
Tracking working hours is just the first step. There is no use for the data if it cannot be easily exported and used, whether it be for compliance reasons or for analysis to see if people are regularly working long hours. This is where Exports come in. Building on top of our extensive data export functionality for all the other data in your Humaans account, we've added the ability to also mass export submitted timesheets so you can easily retrieve this data in a portable CSV format.

We hope you enjoyed this update and if you're not a Humaans customer yet, but want to try it out, make sure to sign up for your 14 day trial.
